Very well constructed song, could do with amounting to something though. Seems like a big buildup but doesn't really climax at any point, still good though

Oh yes

To start - Great sounding piano, great beat, amazing lead! I see what your friend means completely, that's a great description. And then after those 2 minutes it reminds me somewhat of Streets of Rage. I felt it was missing something though, the instruments were all fine but maybe play with the percussion to give it some OOMPH! Or even play with the percussion to remove some oomph and make it a more ambient/trance song. Maybe shorten the song down a bit too, the last minute or so doesn't really do anything new so it gets a bit repetative.

Thoroughly enjoyable throughout though anyway, good job.

I see what your getting at, the part after the first chorus is kind of bland. But basically the main idea of this whole song is the mood, not whether or the patterns repetitive or not. I must say if i did go back to this I would probably add a good amount of patterns to it... But I can't be bothered.

After the first chorus, it's a slow build up for the reason this is a progressive trance song, and in progressive trance the build up is important. The mood to is connected to this as well. In the last chorus, it has the arpeggio in it, so that's what it has new from the last one. The after the last chorus is just to lead it out. All parts of this song are important in keeping the mood, so that is why they are there.

But besides that, thanks for taking the time to review this song. And I'm glad you liked it :D

This is great!

Really really like it, and even though it's juist essentially the same all the way through it never got boring, it's restarted while I'm writing my review and I still can't get enough! :0)

I would highly recommend re-submitting a better quality verson though, some bits distorted far too much.

Excellent

It's always going to be hard to remix a song that is already great, but you've nailed it. You've always got to be careful not to ruin it for those who love the original but I don't think that's going to be the case here at all, you've embodied the power of the original with the upbeat feeling of a great trance song, I don't think this version will be lost on those who don't know the original either.

Very, very good job!

Incredible song, and the buildup of speed was great, 02:00 to about 02:30 were especially good. I think after that though it just gets too hectic, a strong section there and then a decline in speed afterwards may have been better.

Very Nice

I was really enjoying the build-up, and then it got to 01:02................wow.
01:02 to 01:12 was phenomenal just by itself. I loved the piano up until the main lead returned, and once it did it was just as amazing as the first time around.

Truely amazing, I'll check out the rest of your stuff when I can turn it up LOUD!
If you get a chance it'd be great to hear what an advanced FL user thinks of of a novice FL user's work :0)

I don't like it....

I didn't like it, but that is only because it is a style of music that I don't enjoy. I would never listen to it or buy it through choice either.

However, I can't give you anythig other than top marks because there is nothing actually WRONG with this song. The lyrics and voice are beautiful and the guitar-work is amazing.

So in a nutshell: great work, crap genre :)

Hectic...

Great choice and use of pretty much every instrument you chose. My only complaint is that the middle section (the main bit 00:30 to 01:11) is a little repetative, I know there are slight changes but without it being turned up really loud and listening for it you can't tell.

I'm giving you a 10 to get your average back up to nine, as that's what I think it should be. It's still excellent though.

Epic....

Slow enough to be relaxing, upbeat enough to make your head nod, and enough variation to keep it playing on loop without getting boring (or perhaps enough variation that I didn't notice it had restarted twice).

Additionally, your comments and description of the scene fit perfectly. You can really imagine the feeling of standing alone on a dead, cold planet.

Top marks, this is a wonderful piece of music.

It makes me feel like I'm watching a montage of myself on a TV having fun in the sun.

Another excellent piece of music, I won't bother highlighting any specific parts because I loved it all.
